Surrogate WebGo back to portfolio

Surrogate Web is a sister agency of Growing Generations, a client with whom we have worked extensively. The company’s aim is to provide useful information on surrogacy, particularly for women who want to volunteer to become a surrogate for childless people, and to point out the benefits available for all parties.

The site is intended to draw people in to find information and then to volunteer, and relies heavily on searches to bring in traffic. Unfortunately this element of the site was simply not producing the results, with fewer than 1000 hits coming in per month. The client therefore asked us to completely overhaul their optimization and online marketing strategy.

The Challenges

We had to deliver a marked improvement on their number of visitors and this had to be measurable and provably attributable to our efforts. On the whole, however, this was a relatively routine SEO and marketing task similar to many others we have done.

The Solution

First of all we analyzed and recorded the existing data and monitored the site to gauge traffic. As this was going on we looked into probable causes of underperformance and soon discovered some classic errors and omissions that could soon be fixed. For example, we found broken links, duplicate content, no page titles or meta tags, and the site copy was lacking focused keywords and key phrases. After these fundamental repairs we set up a PPC campaign to cost-effectively bring in some instant, valuable traffic.

The Results

Straight away the results more than justified our intervention. Within three months, more than half of the targeted keywords attained top 10 positions on Google, Yahoo! and MSN and average monthly visitors increased by 233% and unique visitors and page views increased by 229% and 379% respectively. And most importantly, between February and May, actual applications rose by 146%.
