Many public-facing businesses like shops, restaurants, cinemas and bars pay mystery shoppers to pose as normal customers in their establishments, then complete questionnaires on the quality of service they received. Shop Until You Drop is an agency that allows people to offer their services as mystery shoppers on a self-employed basis by choosing assignments they can fulfill and writing reports online when they are finished.
The company wanted to regenerate their website to highlight the financial benefits of mystery shopping through them. This would include details of potential earnings, emphasizing the fun and freebies available to the shoppers and using existing shoppers’ testimonials as further reassurance. In the back end, the client wanted us to create a user-friendly way of sending out custom-designed newsletters to its members; to set up a Clickbank affiliate merchant processing system and an affiliate fulfillment system; and to set up registration forms for shoppers with pre-qualification rules included.

The Challenges The business was well established when we took over the web work, but they needed a new look and feel and they wanted to emphasize the benefits available to mystery shoppers. Therefore the site was not aimed at the shops themselves but at people wishing to earn money; this obliged us to make the site lively, heavily promotional and strongly benefit-led rather than information-led (although of course, information can easily be found with a single click). |

The Solution Flash was the natural choice to create a sticky front page that would beg to be investigated by anyone who came across it. Clicking past the front page will take members to the login section where they can find assignments, or non-members can find our more information, see testimonials and finally join up. We integrated Clickbank merchant processing and an affiliate fulfillment system as requested. |

The Results The site now attracts people to take up the offer of becoming a mystery shopper and the whole of the enrolment, assignment search, reporting and payment process goes on within a single online environment. |
