As COO of Institutional Life Companies, I was instrumental in putting together a brief and choosing a supplier to provide our company with a new website that fulfilled our and our customers’ online requirements. I am pleased to say that we are completely satisfied with Koves Technologies for not only meeting but exceeding our expectations in the visual design, usability and delivery of a terrific website.
In the initial stages, we asked for different ways of interpreting the brief, and Koves delivered five designs for main and inner pages, which we whittled down to two for further development. After further revisions and many useful suggestions from Koves’ technicians and designers, we arrived at a final design which met perfectly our demand for a site with a clean, crisp, corporate appearance that our customers would take to intuitively.
Other specifications included:
- a minimum W3C standard for an HTML and CSS site to allow consistent viewing on the whole spectrum of browsers and operating systems;
- a system that allowed any authorized employee to easily update a clickable “ticker-tape” news headline scroll from a simple desktop environment;
- to improve the hitherto unreliable web hosting we had in place so that downtime was minimized and speed of use maximized; and
- to deliver the finished website before the start of our CEO’s European sales tour (the most important of all requirements).
Without exception, every one of our specifications was met, and we were particularly grateful for the fact that the finished website was signed off a week ahead of the final deadline, just two weeks after ratification of the brief.
As new online opportunities open up, we would not hesitate to employ Koves Technologies again, and appreciated greatly their enthusiasm, expertise, inspiration and commitment with regard to the project. They were a pleasure to work with and turned a stringent brief into a usable, professional website.
